Thought was for ballast? I had to replace some end caps and the wiring from the ballast was stranded. Was a bit a of pain pushing the wire into the clip (had the odd loose strand folding back). Little bit of solder, much easier.

Stranded is more flexible and less likely to break if repeatedly flexed and a little easier to source in the smaller gauges.
