Count yourself lucky, they don't all eat bubble algae. I have found only about half of them do. They get big pretty fast though, and start threatening small fish (they can catch/kill them).

+1 on that mine is in the sump and is eating ditris quite well. I do through in a pellet from time to time. I like him but why would he go straight to my acro I put him as far away as I can and he is there in notime..

If you have a 50/50 chance of something then odds are 90% in favour of picking the wrong one. I've never had any luck with emeralds pick at valonia. That darn 50/50/90 gets me everytime.

tie a long line of fishing line to them before you add to tank for easy removal

Bo it is one I got as a very small frag alittle over a year ago I do have that yellow frag still it is growing slowly but nicely.
