Somewhat of an old thread, maybe. I would got for 1/4" just to be sure. Even on my 30g sump I'm in the process of making I went for 1/4" baffles.

I think the largest section for my sump will be about 25-30 gallons. What thickness of glass should I get for that?

I have built a 20 gallon sump with 1/8" glass (3mm).

Should I go for the thicker glass this time?

Thx in advance.

Although you could get away with 1/8 inch I too would go with 1/4. I don't think the price is much of a difference and it is only marginally harder to cut.

Let me know when you need the diamond bits.
