![]() no .... but here is the story...
I got profilux months ago and hooked up wireless from my XP desktop no problem at all... then I bought a laptop with Visa... tried to connect ... no problem! Awesome.... BUT suddenly I came home one day and none of my machines had internet and I couldn't connect to the profilux. I checked router and all of the security was put on (I have it off).... so I redid all that. I think Vista may have reconfigured the router? Anyway.... Still using 3.02 at this time, I put everything back to normal, I made an ad hoc connection and redid everything. Again I could get in to the WLAN card and make changes no problem. The control software would not connect though. Port 10001..... So I decided to upgrade to the new software and new firmware. No problem. Now the control software see's the controller but won't make the connection... Please advise, |

![]() but for the average person hooking up WLAN is next to impossible. it seems easy to developers and people who are good at computers but for the basic hobbyist good bloody luck. i have had it for a year and still no luck, i gave up wasting my time months ago and until i start hearing on here that people are having huge success with doing so i'm not trying again. just my 2 bits

![]() oh ... i'm sorry I was only saying "no" to running Windows Vista....
I am fairly handy with computers and I STILL feel that it is way to difficult to setup. You can see that GHL agrees by the changes they have made to the software and the firmware. This is something very good to see though! Hopefully you will get yours up and running soon. Regards, |

![]() Vista - no thanks!
At Macna i setup some PCs and ProfiLux. Usually it was done in 2-3 minutes. Under Vista it was about 10 minutes. All the settings you need are hidden in some confusing menus of Vista. And Vista restores old settings or changes settings you have done some seconds before. It's unbelievable with Vista. I removed Vista on all our PCs here, we only use XP Professional until Vista works in an expectable way. @mediaone: Maybe Vista made some security updates or changed the firewall settings? For testing: Deactivate the firewall (if Vista allows you to do this) Another idea: If you selected "obtain IP automatically" you must have activated something like "DHCP-server" in your router. |

![]() @Niloc: I know at least 5 persons got their WLAN running (in this and the other forum)...
We want to improve the ProfiLuxControl again in some weeks. We can't do much more than we did recently but there are still some things we could make easier for the user. But to be honest: Without a minimum knowledge about the network and the PCs at home (firewall, WLAN-security) it is not an easy job. |

![]() trying to connect a Tunze 6055 to the profilux
the nano can be controlled from 4-18w. when converting to volts is that 4-18v when i try to set the volts from 4-18 in the profilux control it keeps changing the 18v to 10v. any reason why? Last edited by reef; 11-15-2007 at 08:01 PM. |

![]() I think this is a misunderstanding.
These are 2 different things: output power of the pump (in Watts) and output voltage of the ProfiLux (in Volts). Maximum output voltage of ProfiLux is 10V -> at this voltage the pump will have the maximum power (18W in your case). As far as i know the Tunze pumps even have the maximum power at 8V control voltage. |
