I was on the Island in December and Visited one of the popular stores in Victoria. The prices were way up there compared to Edmonton or Calgary. I remember the days when corals were a decent price on the island.

I just wait now untill I am back in Abbotsford visiting my parents to buy stuff. Unless there is something that really makes me JUMP...nothing here has yet...
Most torch corals are $80+++ SPS are $75+++ Its stupid here.....50g bag of salt is like $40 Really they arent paying that much more than us customers for shipping stock over...its quite gauging!

not only is the cost WWWAAYY out of wack here but NO selection! I have been back on the island for almost 2 years and have not seen one coral/invert i would consider buying. I go do all my shopping in Van with John and SAVE huge after the $20 is boat fee and $20 in gas. I like to suport local stores but when i dont even get a McDonalds or kiss first i get put off.
