WTB Mantis shrimp

I seen a new one @ Gold yesterday. It's all orange with HUGE white claws. It just came in. First time I've seen one like this and have no clue what type it could be.

He told me it was a mantis yesterday.

Looked like a mantis body with giant white claws.

Go figure.

I just called him also and he said that it's some kind of snapping shrimp and was just written on the shipping list as a mantis or something like that.

ditto on the pistol shrimp theory. I find that in general LFS usually aren't the best sources of info on mantis shrimp. warning: In a 5 gal you should stick to a small species.

on finding one: go to your LFS and ask them to put your name down in case they get one and whether or not they can order one in for ya.
