cleaning silicone from glass

i use 100% alchahol, or as close to 100% as i can get at the grocery store. i think it is more like 99%. it works great and it evaporates so fast and does not leave any residure. i clean it off anyways with water. or you can use methylhighdrate (probably not the correct spelling). i know that this is actually the best food safe product to use but i don't know where you would find it. hope this helps.
