I find it hard to believe any salt brand would be below 1000 ish

I've had Instant Ocean come in at 1170, and as high as 1400

Get your water checked by the LFS, or use another kit

And just a simple reminder for us all ...
If something is out of whack, don't start adjusting things, question the test methods
