I've seen some incredible vivariums running sumps. I don't see why a paludarium setup couldn't benefit from a sump as well. I've seen some where they hide a fogger in the sump then pipe the fog up into the display as well on a timer.

A 240g tank would make perhaps the mostest awesomest setup yet. That would be something to see!
