they only eat these animals if you forget to feed them for extended periods...........which I have been known to do. if you feed them a couple times a week they don't hunt.

and I never mentioned crabs, because I learned a long time ago snails and crabs do not mix well....go with one or the other

I have a hard time thinking about what a 50G looks like!!! I would say there is no problem having one......they don't need a lot of space IME.

and FYI, my buddy got one shipped from J&L to Ontario once, no problems, very well shipped and coordinated.
