![]() when it comes to skimmers, i dont pay attention to the tank volume ratings. I look at what I have for livestock, if you have alot of livestock, you'll want the better one just because it works harder. If your bioload is average, then use the smaller one of the two. In my opinion all protein skimmers can be tuned to be efficient so its a matter of flow rate vs bioload.
