![]() I am having a hard time cycling a tank with store bought bottled bacteria and was wondering if someone with a healthy tank (no medication or parasites) would be willing to help a newbie by giving me some of your used spare filter media or anything with nitrifying bacteria with it so I can speed up my cycling.
I live in NE so it would be great if someone nearby would be able to help. ![]() |

![]() I would say keep using what you bought. if you added live rock your tank should cycle within a month. try doing a 20% Water change as it obviously removes some pollutants. good luck. hope you get what you need either way.

I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds. ![]() |

![]() Like Pattyob said the live rock should do the trick. Where did you get your live rock from? How long have you been cycling?
