![]() I agree whale sharks have no place in an aquarium. But I thought this was the one aquarium that has successfully kept these fish and no one knows why these large fish have lived so long in this aquarium where other tanks the whale sharks perish within 10 months?

![]() snaz, I believe you are thinking of the Georgia aquarium. Georgia has had had three die on them I believe, but if I recall correctly, they have a better track record than okinawa. At the very least it's a bigger and prettier display. their whale sharks are also fishery bycatch, not targeted for collection; I do not know if okinawa followed the same protocol.

![]() You can get a good scale of the tank by the two scuba divers inside doing maintanence, it's massive. I like the whale sharks not to mention Manta rays, they are awesome. There is certainly a big wow factor for me. Thanks for sharing.
