![]() Hey People, so I have a 50 gallon mixed reef with a fairly low bioload. I used to run a red sea berlin skimmer (on mag 7) and it didn't really seem to do much at all.. So I recently upgraded to a canreef skimmer (pretty much the same as abullet 2).. This skimmer is too big for my system. I have spent many days dialing it in and trying to get it to make wet phone, but it never seems to really work.. I think it's too big for my system, not to mention, LOUD! So I'm just wondering what people would recommend for a 50 gallon reef.. something high end... not overkill... just efficient and quiet.. thanks

![]() HOB or in sump? Big difference between the two in terms of performance.

![]() it could be in sump but I don't have a very high stand..it's about 20" high inside... maybe 22" between the beams. what about a tunze?

![]() Small ASM or small E series euroreef, that would be my pick.

![]() Sounds to me like you would have a good home for a Coralife Super Skimmer
