What Skimmer is right for me?

Hey People, so I have a 50 gallon mixed reef with a fairly low bioload. I used to run a red sea berlin skimmer (on mag 7) and it didn't really seem to do much at all.. So I recently upgraded to a canreef skimmer (pretty much the same as abullet 2).. This skimmer is too big for my system. I have spent many days dialing it in and trying to get it to make wet phone, but it never seems to really work.. I think it's too big for my system, not to mention, LOUD! So I'm just wondering what people would recommend for a 50 gallon reef.. something high end... not overkill... just efficient and quiet.. thanks

HOB or in sump? Big difference between the two in terms of performance.

it could be in sump but I don't have a very high stand..it's about 20" high inside... maybe 22" between the beams. what about a tunze?

Small ASM or small E series euroreef, that would be my pick.

Sounds to me like you would have a good home for a Coralife Super Skimmer

Adam, check out some of the newer Euroreefs. I think they can run external now.
