I have never heard that name. I had some very similar. I found them on zoaid.com but can't remember the name.

Quite common in edmonton. One LFS is over run by them. They grow fast and will overtake weaker colonies. Most palys are like this.

so should i be breaking that rock in half? there is also another red skirt red middle palys on the right hand side of the rock i would like to save. dont want the purple hornets to get overun
