![]() Posting for a friend
What would make all your corals, anemones, snails and lastly bristle worms die in your tank? All the fish are fine, but everything else. We were told that maybe, ...it was the ich treatment that we did. Then we were told maybe we have copper in our water, so we bought 2 packs of CupriSorb. They have not discolored at all. Because everything died it caused lots of ammonia, so we have done 6 water changes in 2 weeks. We still have some polyps but they are all closed up. I've looked on the internet and have not found anything that is usefull.

![]() If Nox-ich is malachite green based (which I'm pretty sure it is) it is deadly to inverts.

![]() I'm not familiar with the brand but I do know alot of the ich treatments kill inverts and corals when we treated ich we used "ich attack" and that one is reef safe I would read your bottle and see what it says |

![]() Nox-Ich is malachite green based. While it does not contain copper (C23H5N2) is is harmful to inverts. The problem you have on your hands right now is the chain reaction caused by the death of the livestock and the spike in toxicity. If you have another tank you might want to move your remaining livestock to a temporary home while you deal with the problem tank. If your main tank is small you might be wise to gut it just to be on the safe side. If you are still unsure about the copper thing I have a copper test kit that you are welcome to borrow (just pm me). Hopefully you have caught the problem in time to prevent any more death.
