What would make all your corals, anemones, snails and lastly bristle worms die in your tank? All the fish are fine, but everything else.
We were told that maybe, ...it was the ich treatment that we did.
Then we were told maybe we have copper in our water, so we bought 2 packs of CupriSorb. They have not discolored at all.
Because everything died it caused lots of ammonia, so we have done 6 water changes in 2 weeks.
We still have some polyps but they are all closed up.

I've looked on the internet and have not found anything that is usefull.

I assume you've tested all your water?

anything out of whack?

possible anything was introduced to the tank without knowing so? i find kids and drunk friends are a reef's worst enemy!!

What type of ich treatment did you use?

Kimmy101 02-09-2011 04:15 AM

The brand name is Nox-Ich.

If Nox-ich is malachite green based (which I'm pretty sure it is) it is deadly to inverts.

I'm not familiar with the brand but I do know alot of the ich treatments kill inverts and corals when we treated ich we used "ich attack" and that one is reef safe I would read your bottle and see what it says

Was just reading up on noxich an it is not reef safe it will kill inverts and corals so I would go with that's what happened to the tank

time to throw it all out and start over.
The chemical has probably leached into the rocks. you'll never get it all out.
Might leach into the silicone too.
Unless you want to go fish only, that tank is done.
