quick comparison of venki10,000k vs. 6500k iwasaki 400w
here's a couple of pics of my tank...
2 x 6500k with 2 x 165W VHO actinic  10,000k and 6500k with 2 x actinic no flash  10,000k and 6500k no actinic no flash  2 x 10,000k no actinic no flash  2 x 10,000k with 2 x 165W VHO actinic no flash  6500k and 10,000k with actinics flash on (shows the best actual color) for this pic  [/img]

Hey Shao,
Great pics. Were just the 6500k's on there when I was over to see your tank?? I never really noticed the yellow. I guess it shows up more in pictures though (at least for my tank). The 10,000k's look awesome and it makes me want to try some. Christy

looks like the actinic in the last picture does absolutly nothing compared to the no actinic. is it realy that little or is it the way the pics turned out?
also was the first pic taken at a different time? if so could you do one of the left side using the Iwasaki as that is the side with all the color in that we could see the mose on. thanks Steve

Great Comparison Shots. I think after everyone talking about 10,000K and Higher I'm going for the 10,000Ks next lamp change.

Nice pics Shao,
If you want my real opinion though, I think I will take you up on that invite! I know we talked about it a few weekends back, so I will PM you and hope we can set up that visit

yeah when you were over i didnt have the 10,000ks yet, so what you saw were 2 x 400W 6500k with actinics. steve, with the 2 x 10,000k on, you do see a slight difference when the actinics are on, gives a slightly more bluish tinge, not a great difference, but you can notice it when you flick the actincs on/off. FWIW, i find the 10,000k nice even without the actinics. and yeah, the first pic was taken a few months earlier, i'll take a pic with a 6500k on the left side and update the thread, and edit my first post to include it. thanks for the compliments everyone, and ofcourse youre all welcome to stop by sometime, just PM me to arrange a visit. IJO, i can do some comaprison pics of other bulbs, if soemone can lend me the other bulbs! i've only got 6500k and venkis 10,000k bulbs.
