![]() Using tap water to rinse my sand?
In the past Ive always used RO/DI for rinsing. Will I be asking for more aglae?

![]() I have washed with tap and didn't have any algae problems.
BUT, with a 230, just do a 15% water change, and use that 30g of water. |

![]() Depends on the parameters of your tap water. If they're not good then rinse or wash your sand with tap water. Drain it and and then short rinse with ro/di I think would work.
