![]() Whats the best program to use to defrag your computer. I don't really like the built in one with windows.
I know there is quite a few computer gurus out there. Hopefully a few of you can help me out. ![]() |

![]() I've always used norton speed-disk without any problems. The built in windows one always gave my computer problems in the past.

![]() Diskeeper by Executive Software is an excellent product. You can run the program in the background and it's a lot faster than the one built into windows.

![]() I think what Invigor is implying is that defragging rarely has any noticeable effect on a computer's performance. A format is really the best way to solve recurrent problems.

![]() I tried "O&O Defrag" and man that took a rootin' tootin' long time... (About 35 hours or so... ![]() On the plus side it seemed to do a pretty good job considering it hadn't been done in a year or two. I think I will check out that DiskKeeper though. |
