![]() Ok, this may be a weird question, but I'm going to ask. When a SPS coral is refered to as "Mother Colonies", do they or can they grow from a small frag? Or is it something different?

![]() As far as I am aware, frags grow to become mother colonies.
Mother colonies are then fragmented to produce little frags. |

![]() Right. Mother colonies are what provide small (daughter) frags. How they get to be large colonies doesn't matter, but many do start as frags.
