![]() Not knowing whether I should pose this here or in the Tips and Tricks section, but here I go ...
I have South Seas Base Rock. It's dry and clean. I drilled it and stuffed acrylic rods into some holes, but didn't like the stability, so I then bought some 2 part putty. I soaked the rocks in water, applied the putty, and let it cure for more than the 4-6 hours recommended @ the required temperature. Everything seems to be solid, but now I have a potential issue ... Do I have to keep it wet, now that I have stuck it together? If so, looks like I'll have to buy yet another rubbermaid or 2. |

![]() You shouldn't have to now, the moisture helps the epoxy cure, which is why you wet the rocks. Once it's cured it should be hard as well.. a rock.

![]() Thanks, that makes perfect sense to me. I guess I'm hoping to hear from someone who has left theirs out of water.
Either way, it's out of the water now so I can do the next batch. |

![]() it will cure in or out of water just fine. I've left epoxy to cure out of water.
