![]() Hello everyone. I am new to canreef and the salt water world. I bought a friends established tank and got it moved two weeks ago. Buying this way certainly made for a steep learning curve but other than an open brain that wont eat everything is good. Anyways to my question, tonight I noticed after the lights went out a large amount of little critters running around the sand> they are light in coulour and have little tenticles in front they almost look like a lite almost clear wood bug. Any ideas and are these bad?

![]() Hi,
+1.... More than likely Copepods & Amphipods. All beneficial crustaceans that will provide food for you're reef inhabitants and fishes. ![]() Regards, Simon...

You should also plane some small pieces of fresh shrimp on it and cover it for a while with those plastic strawberry 'baskets' so no one else steals its food. |

![]() The brain is on the sand bed. I think the move was just to stressfull. have been hand feeding smal pieces of shrimp and it seems to be doing better today.

![]() Keep feeding it and I'm sure it will be fine. I keep coming back to the fact that corals (like all animals) need feeding... my Paly frag is showing me the way
![]() Oh, and welcome to Canreef!
