![]() I dont know if this is the right forum to do this in but i need some help.i have a 230 tank witha refugiumunder it about 300 pounds of rock . All of a sudden my ph has been going up and up right now it is at 8.65. have che4ck to see if it is fright with a test kit Sure hope there is some one who can help

![]() Are you using a Kalk reactor? If so, then I would stop using that for now. Waterchanges will also help.
Cross referencing with another test kit can also tell you if the kit you are currently using is wonky. |

![]() I had the same issue a year or so ago.... and when I calibrated and checked against a pH pen, I found the monitor to be out by 0.5 so I was actually running at 7.95 not 8.45... Now I calibrate once a month or so and concentrate on alk and ca levels... keeping those parameters in line will usually keep pH around 8.2 - 8.4 unless you have too much c02 in the system...
