![]() I want to build two 24" by 24" by 16" tall aquariums that I will plumb to the same sump. I also wish to euro brace both of these (I know tanks of this size don't have to be braced but I would like to do so anyway), what thickness, type (tempered? regular glass?) and length of glass should be used?
I haven't been able to find any calculators or really any explanations on how to determine this so more in depth answers are appreciate. Thanks guys!

![]() You don't want to be using tempered for bracing. Bracing could be 1" wide or bigger, whatever you want. I wouldn't go any thinner than 6mm, too easy to break!

![]() I would use 10mm glass for the brace. Just make sure the glass company polishes the edges for you.
The thicker glass will allow you to mount accessories such as a Kessil. Good luck! |
