Euro bracing

I want to build two 24" by 24" by 16" tall aquariums that I will plumb to the same sump. I also wish to euro brace both of these (I know tanks of this size don't have to be braced but I would like to do so anyway), what thickness, type (tempered? regular glass?) and length of glass should be used?

I haven't been able to find any calculators or really any explanations on how to determine this so more in depth answers are appreciate.
Thanks guys!

What is the thickness of the glass used to build your aquarium?

You don't want to be using tempered for bracing. Bracing could be 1" wide or bigger, whatever you want. I wouldn't go any thinner than 6mm, too easy to break!

I would use 10mm glass for the brace. Just make sure the glass company polishes the edges for you.

The thicker glass will allow you to mount accessories such as a Kessil.

Good luck!
