Default Remember to turn off RO/DI

I knew that I should of hooked up my shutoff sooner.
Forgot to shut off my RO/DI and it is on the top floor of my house.
Just a bit of paint damage. I am just clad I was home or thing could of been much worse.
I better hook up that shutoff soon. On the plus side I have lots of water ready now.

Hi Marlin65,

I've experienced a few times using the 5 gal buckets for preparing the ro water. Luckily, all my fish tanks and works were taken place in a specified corner inside the basement and the wife wouldn't notice it otherwise I goona to be in big trouble. By the way, the barrel you're using is 30 or 50 gal? I'm looking for a used food grade one, any idea where to look for one so that I can save a lot of space for storing more than 10 nos. of 5 gal buckets. Thanks!

Its at least a 50 Gal I got it from Spagnols. It is a used grape container so food safe.
I know you can buy barrels on graigslist. Not sure what was in them but the picture showed the white ones and they are normally food safe.

I've went through the walk on a wet carpet (amazing how fast the stomach seems to drop to your knees). Didn't do the shutoff but put a bulkhead in the container with a line directly to the floor drain for next time.
