How can I lower my pH it way to high for my likeing. The ph is 8.8 and I would like it areoun 8.2-8.4.

I don't know...but I'm wondering how it got to 8.8 in the first place. If you stop whatever causes the high pH, it should return to normal on it's own.

Have you added anything to the tank for dosing?

I would probably recommend water changes, but since your tank is new, I would just let it go a day or two and see what happens.

For dosage all I use is cycle and Purple up.

Stop the purple up... That is what is causing the high ph. We used it for a short time and had nothing but grief with it. Are you testing for calcium and dkh?
I bet you find them both out of whack.

You will still get the same corraline growth with a 2 part system and regularly testing your water to make sure that everything is in line.

Stop using the Cycle as well. Next to useless...

What are you using to measure pH? Are you sure that it is reliable? If your tank inhabitants are not looking stressed I wouldn't sweat the pH too much. Sort of an overemphasized parameter IMO>

Ya my fish are fine eating normaly swiming normaly playful and the pH droper to 8.6
