Has anybody try using mangrove in their sump?So how is it? would you recommend it?

Would I recommend it? Depends..Want a cool plant (hey it's mangrove, how cool is that?) .. then yes. Want it for nutrient export? Then .. not really.

At least in my experience they grow far too slowly to be a viable nutrient export.

But they can make for a very interesting display. Supposedly you can train them to grow those aerial roots although I've never tried it.

I have read that if you suspend them in the air, the roots will grow downwards, and you just keep hicking it up to grow bigger roots.
