MitchM is on a distinguished road
Default Pocillipora sweeper tentacles

Has anyone else seen these?
I have a pocillipora coral that has a blue mushroom growing beside it, and at night time only, the SPS is sending out what I am calling sweepers, in the immediate vicinity of the mushroom.
I've tried taking night pictures of it, but the coral is at the back of the tank, and every picture I try turns out to be out of focus.
Pocillipora's are "fuzzy" enough during their regular feeding, but these "sweepers" are at least 2 or 3 times as long.

I can try to take some better pictures of it, if someone can give me some night-time-picture-taking advice.

I've got a Nikon coolpix 995 and also have a separate hand held flash available with a flash activated "slave"

Or maybe this is just a regular occurrence.....and I wasn't in class that day....
