Coralife MH Bulbs

Has anyone used a different brand of double ended HQI MH bulb in the Coralife Aqualight Pro lighting fixture. I have the twin 250watt unit and would like some feedback on bulbs if anyone has tried a better bulb. I would like to switch. Thanks
