Coralife MH Bulbs
 

Has anyone used a different brand of double ended HQI MH bulb in the Coralife Aqualight Pro lighting fixture. I have the twin 250watt unit and would like some feedback on bulbs if anyone has tried a better bulb. I would like to switch. Thanks

lets hear some info on the 150 too please

150 DE aquaconnect 14k's worked great in my 150W aqualight pro.

i swapped mine out to to the pheonix 14k no probs

I've swapped mine out to the Ushio 10k, the phoenix 14k and various no-namers from E-bay with no problems. Pretty much every bulb out there (even the $10 ones from E-bay) are better than the coralife originals.

Thanks guys. I'm trying out the Hamilton 14000k. Anyone use that brand? I didn't have a choice, thats what was sent to me.

I used the 13K Geisemann in my 150W ALP , it produced very white light but when combined with the actinics, it produced good results.
Also tryed a few of the cheap no-name bulbs from ebay with varying results
