I use boxee box and works good but the key to free TV is downloading your shows through automatic subscriptions. I haven't tried the boxee live, not that convinced it will actually work in all areas...

Boxee Live TV works with signals from HDTV antennas (using ATSC) or an unencrypted cable connection (using ClearQAM). The package includes a portable ATSC digital terrestrial antenna, which can be used within 10 miles of an ATSC transmitter.
