I would take better spread as the Radions don't even need to be close to be maxed out so. Currently my 2 fixtures on my 120 are only using 105 watts combined and Jhammer can verify that as I showed...

I bought a brand new IN-180 and its the worst...
I bought a brand new IN-180 and its the worst skimmer I have owned. Terrible noisy pump with restart issues brand new right out of the box. No more Vertex IN's ever for this guy! Only Vertex skimmer...

If its not deep I wouldn't worry about using...
If its not deep I wouldn't worry about using epoxy then. Mine was on the outside of tank but I'm kinda picky so I filled it with epoxy then sanded it level. I probably could of just left it be...
