I have lots of these for quite a long time....
I have lots of these for quite a long time. Never, in my estimation, too many.
They are part of a cleanup crew, but will happily munch on algae on my glass as well.
Could be unsightly to some, but...

Plumbing, not potable water certified. ?
So I have been reading that not all plumbing fittings and pipe are certified for potable water. For instance, spa flex or flex pipe.
Do people really care? Does it matter?
I find a certification...

I'm assuming the center brace is made of black plastic.
Take another piece of plastic, lay on top, covering the crack. Drill 4 holes, 2 on each side. Install 4 plastic screws with plastic nuts....

canister filters are great nitrate factories....
canister filters are great nitrate factories. Totally work in freshwater, but not salt. You could take all the media out and put in LR if you want. But the media just collects detrius and converts it...
