I would cut baffles and wrap the 3 sides with foam or filter floss, etc. to wedge them in place. I have done this before, and it works well until the next time you have your sump apart to silicone...

Not trying to hijack, but this is what I do to boost coraline growth (see lighting on my signature below). I find big chunks of scrolling coraline in my tank and put them into my mortar and pestle....
