MAG's aren't pressure rated. Personally I'd go for the MAK4. They are pressure rated. Run a beckett great and consume a LOT less power. 1/2 to 1/3rd the power consumption.

From experience I can back up what Tony has said about flow in the sump. Go for hte minimum or a decen't flow rate through the sump. Say about 700-900 GPH....

40 gallons is too small for triggers and lion fish. IMO. Maybe the lion on its own but triggers grow. Big and make a BIG mess.
