taking frags off of plugs

hey,
just wondering if there is a good way to remove a frag from a plastic plug? i dont really like the look of it in my tank. got an acro and a hammer on clear plastic plugs and id rather them just attach to a peice of rock. thoughts?

I usually just break them off at the base with either my hands or a pair of coral cutters (my hand for most acros). Either that or I just break the little plug part off the bottom of the plug and leave the top disk and then mount that if its already encrusted.

Depends on how encrusted the coral is. Sometimes you can slowly word a razor blade between the plug and encrusting coral.
