Beth,

Your truck is large enough to accomodate a pallet? Holy cow

However, Chris and I want to take our 9 pails home with us. Plus, we're paying for the whole thing and I kinda want to get money from folks when they pick up their salt

Hmmm just an abstract thought.....is there some way that we could send our $$ to Beverly via Paypal?

This way she would have her $$ up front.

Just a thought.

Hey Bev,

did you mark me down for 1 pail as per my PM. Just checking...

Actually is it too late to get 1 more. So a total of 2 pails?

let me know, thanks a bunch

Leanne,

Yup, had marked you down for one pail. You want two? Done.

Here is the current list:

- 9 pails for Beverly
- 2 pails for Beth
- 3 pails Joel
- 2 pails for Leeanne
- 1 pail for Tony
- 2 pails for Keith
- 4 pails for friends not on Canreef

Total of 23 pails! One more and we have a full pallet

Joel,

Don't know how anyone else feels about the Paypal thing, but some people are also getting dry goods and I won't know exactly how much their stuff will cost until I get the invoice with the goods. That part might be a little confusing with Paypal. Plus, the feeling of cold hard cash in my hands is sooooo great

Beth,

What is the height of your truck? I was thinking maybe it could come down into our parking garage if it will fit through the overhead door and we'd store the salt in our storage space. Folks could drive down into the garage to pick up their salt.

It is a pick up, can you get an est. wieght on it, if the truck cant haul it alone, I can hitch up the trailer - it will fit into parking garages. The problem is that I will only have about an hour max, so if we are going to unload it right away it will have to be fast, unless you can get it delivered on a wednesday =)

Beth,

Each pail weighs 65 lbs. Man that was heavy lifting it onto the scale  So 24 x 65 lbs is 1,560 lbs. Remember, we will have our car so we can take as many as 7 pails ourselves. If only Chris goes, he can pack the car with 9 pails. I think it would be better if I come, too, to carry pails. Sheesh! What a lot of freaking work  I'm sure the guys at Reimer will help load up, though. They did last time.

I will find out from J&L when I order if we can have Wednesday delivery, and if not, if Reimer will store it until the next available Wednesday.

I will take a pail or what ever is left to fill the pallet.

ALL 24 pails have been ordered by:

- 9 pails for Beverly
- 2 pails for Beth
- 3 pails Joel
- 2 pails for Leeanne
- 1 pail for Tony
- 2 pails for Keith
- 1 pail for BT
- 4 pails for friends not on Canreef

If I have time this pm, I will order our salt and dry goods. YIPPEEEEE!!!!

jgoldsney 05-07-2004 03:31 PM

Just another thought :)

I know in the past on group orders that I have done from JL with other reefers we have been able to call in and give Alan a CC number to pay for our individual portions. This may make the dry goods stuff simpler.

I think that it would make it easier on Beverly if all she has to worry about is salt. (Of course this is easy for me to say because I am not ordering any dry goods (so far that is))

Joel,

It hasn't been a problem for me paying for all the dry goods people have ordered in the past, then collecting from folks when they pick up their stuff. I'll take cash, but no cheques, though.

If anyone does order and want to pay J&L for their dry goods ahead of time, talk to John. Tell him that your stuff is to be shipped with the Chris Gregors' order, my DH, who is the one who has the account with J&L, even though I will make the order.

Also, if anyone does order their own stuff to be shipped with the Chris Gregors order, let me know so I don't order it twice

If you want dry goods, let me know asap as I will probably order everything this pm.
