My rock all started dead so I think it's even more embarrassing how I like to stare into the display looking for a few little bugs. I get excited when I find the odd one on the rocks...the glass is covered.

You are not alone!

And a little something new in the tank...I added a pair of Blue Gudgeons tonight. They are very shy so far and haven't ventured out of their little hidey hole but exciting nonetheless.

Well looks like we will be ready to roll...sump is coming tomorrow and new skimmer arrived! THANKS KEVIN!
Skimmer is huge - wow! Kinda intimidating! I never really thought of this tank as a large system but this skimmer looks incredible! Can't wait to get it going!

Also the new Gudgeons finally ventured out. I thought they were goners because they did not come out of hiding until yesterday! Looking good and eating well today though. These were my tester fish. Cute little guys!

Transferred a few more pieces of coral to the 144G. They are all looking happy. Having a nasty green hair algae bloom! Going to pick up some clean up crew this weekend.

UPDATE.....!!
Well, I got my sump - whohoo! And Doug (fishytime) came over and drilled the sump and plumbed it all up. DOUG you are THE BEST! ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!
Small leak all fixed up and all looking Great! Plumbing is a little wonky with the PS4 external pump, and lack of space but it works.
Was a little short on salt water, had to make another 30G, so should have it fully operational tomorrow. Excited to fire up the HUGE skimmer and see it all run!

Hope to pick up the livestock this week so all my fishies are home for Christmas...! (What can I say, I miss them!)
Pictures tomorrow...

I can handle wonky....now kinky would be...well....maybe not so bad... If we were doing the plumbing from scratch we would have done some things differently, but we needed to somewhat work with what was originally there...

Pictures through bent glass really do no justice to the tank....looks waaaaaaaaaaaay better in person*mutters to himself quietly* "still think it could use that bridge"

Leave it to reefkeepers to let "kinky plumbing" mean a bad thing.
