I've been reading through your build today & being that this is my 1st year in the hobby I'd say that growth is awesome. I've had sps for the last 6 months in my tank that haven't grown that much. Although with the addition of a profilux things have definately started to take off in the last 2.5 months. I just upgraded to a 150 gal for my future build in the basement & will likely use your build as a guide for success with an sps dominant system.

Thanks Spawn. Yes that colony is now 18" accross with me constantly fragging it. Just be patient and this hobby definitely pays off.

I am humbled as I think that there are tons of tanks out there that are of higher calibre on canreef. Thank you.

Anyway, here's a full tank shot from my cell phone yesterday. I only took one from the living room side.

Just took a couple of quick pics tonight. Some updates as of late:

1. New frag tank (Just wanted one with an external overflow box). It's the same size. I did it cause I have connections to glass.

2. I have now switched to LED lighting. Just some cheap ebay brand ones. So the halides are officially down now and I'm gonna give these LEDs 6 months before I sell my halides. This saved me close to 400 watts. I went from 3 x 250 watt pendants to 3 x 120 watt LED pendants. We'll see, only time will tell.

Anyway, here are a few pics.

Pink Milli - Started from a 2" brown smooth frag

Started from a white almost dead 1" frag

Teal Acro - Started from a sickly smooth pale frag infested with red bugs (I didn't know it at the time - it is now the size of a cantelope)

That Red Convexa at the bottom left of this picture was started from a tiny 1/2" frag from Snappy - it is now about 6" around

Tough to get the colour right, this is way too blue.

This pineapple express was originally from Lobsterboy, started out as a 1.5" frag.

Saltynuts frag - started out as 1.5" brown frag. It is about the size of a cantelope as well, slightly taller than wide as I've been keeping its width in check.

This is one of my frag tanks. The other is just as crowded.
