Update
After a incident with a UV sterilizer that turned my water black I lost a few fish. So after a few months I have finally got around to replacing some. My latest editions with pics to follow are: Mottled Jawfish 6 Line wrasse Cleaner Wrasse (which eats mysis) Copperband Butterfly (which only eats mysis and not aptasia  )Coral Banded Shrimp Green Spotted Mandrin (star of the show, always out front showing off)

Well I got given a used sterilizer which I ran some water through for 15 mintues. Bought a Maxijet pump for it and put it in my tank... The next day I came home to find my tank VERY dark, when I pulled a sample of water it was as dark as when you rinse your carbon for the first time.
After a 50% water change, pulling the UV sterilizer, and adding lots of new carbon I ended up losing 5 fish but no coral.

man, that sucks.....when did that happen??? I dont remember you mentioning that at the tank tour?

not an overly big fan of uv , i dont see the need and theres always stuff that goes wrong with them , why did you get one out of curiosity?? sorry to hear about your tank buddy glad all the corals came out ok
