So Tony was bragging about his day spent on Moose Mountain on Facebook the other day I was extremely hurt to have not received my invitation to ride with him. Must have gotten lost in the mail for it never arrived. I know I didn't miss the mailman, I waited on the front step all day.

I know a lot of us ride I think it would be pretty cool to get together at Moose Mountain one weekend next year. If anyone is interested from Edmonton I have room for four guys and four bikes and the gear. (I knew there had to be a good reason for me buying a station wagon!)

I'm asking now to give everyone A LOT of notice....

A video Tony posted from Moose, looks like most of the obstacles have ride arounds for those not interested in hurting themselves!

I'll post this in the other thread too.

Dude! I told you! You have to first rescind the TRO. I can't send anything like this. Besides, the videos with all the heavy breathing are just me when riding my bike. It's just Darth Vader on a DH bike. It's not porn! Well, I guess it is. Just a DIFFERENT kind of porn.

Seriously though .. Plenty of riding time left this season. I'd not be above taking a day off work if that worked better for anyone (it actually kinda works better for me ). "Skip Work And Bike Day."

Re-reading the earlier part of this thread I came across my comments after riding T-Dub the first time ever (and the first time for the season out on the DH bike). I had a good chuckle to myself about what a moron THAT person was who wrote those.

I'm ready to go back to MM and *just* ride T-Dub all day. What a wicked fun trail.

To be completely honest I was leaning toward next year because I can count the number of times I've been out this year on one hand and I have the fitness level to match! I didn't want to embarrass myself!

Oh don't worry - I got your back there. I can act as a sort of embarrassment magnet and pull it away from you.

Besides, next year will be after a longggg winter-season-dry-spell-of-no-riding and it will take you that many more times of riding to get up to speed compared to if you just went now.

Lot of trails at MM too that you can ease yourself into the place with. Moosepackers, Brakeless and Race Of Spades are really fun trails too. We'll do Moosepackers on our XC bikes, it's more of a "mostly downhill XC singletrack" with a few flowy berms and a couple switchbacks.

Not sure I can make this year work unless the snow really holds off. Next couple of weekends I'm tied up with inventory at work. Then I'm off to Vegas the first week in November.

Two thoughts come to mind:

1) Man alive I wish I could ride like that - even to have 5% those skills and comfort level and trust in the bike and one's self. Jealous!

2) Isle of Skye - ok wow - apparently this place just got onto my bucket list of places to visit. This list is ever expanding. I need to .. um .. actually start travelling or something if I have a hope to cover the places I have to go visit for real!!!!
