Just called Marineland and Petsmart.
Marineland does not recall it. They only stop selling it.
Petsmart's recall does apply to Canada as well.

I got mine from J&L last spring. I've emailed Jeff to see if he's heard anything. I'll probably switch it out tonight with (unfortunately) a marineland visitherm I use for water changes.

one of my spare heater is Stealth version but not the Pro. However, it does have the plastic wrap around it and it is made in Italy. Should i throw it in garbage or bring it to Petsmart.

Hmm nvm, I am safe

I understand, but it doesn't mean other country won't make fake product.
I just want to say 'Made in China doesn't mean bad.
I bet more than one of lighting fixture in anyone's house is made in China.
Anyone scare it may explode?

Oh Jackie. Give it a rest. Everyone knows that not everything that comes from China is crap, but let's be honest. A lot of 'made in China' products are are of very poor quality. That's because they cut corners to keep costs down. This is not a secret. It is the Chinese economy. These heaters are crap no matter how you look at it, and they were made in China. Let's call a spade a spade. My tank almost blew up!
