We'll see if the Dubai mall ends up larger or not.

Mall of America was also PLANNED to be bigger than West Ed too, but didnt turn out that way!

It never was the "worlds" largest, only the largest in north america.. but I hear they are planning on building one in the US that is even bigger.

Actully it held the title of worlds largest for nearly 20 years.

Considering the Oriental Plaza was built in the 70's and has a total area of 800 000 m^2 I would say you are wrong..

I was a Edmontonian for most of my life and I am just as big of a chest thumper as any other Albertan and I will be moving back when I retire but lets keep our chest thumping backed with facts.. and yes this means Calgarians cannot talk about wanting a professional hockey team anymore

I beg to differ! West Ed is the largest mall in the world, unless the Dubai mall is actually completed larger in 2008.
