Here is a picture with the protein skimmer. Having it on the side of the tank is temporary, I would like to put it on the back of the AC 110. Hopefully I get my stand by time I get back from my trip.

And just for fun, here is a few pictures of my other pets.

I have an ac110 (500) and a Remora skimmer. I to had the problem of where to put the skimmer. It would have been perfect on the side of the tank , like yours, but them my coralife light wouldnt fit as it runs the full length of the 10gal.
While starting this reply I thought I may have solved the issue of light interferance, moving the fixtures legs all the way over on one end and letting the other end of the fixture overhang the side of the tank. Thought it was a good idea but also did not work.
For now I have decided to run skimmerless, and I am selling the remora.

(shameless plug)

As for your idea of hanging the skimmer off of the AC110, I would be a little nervous about that. First off, the AC110 (set up as a refugium) with live rock, sand and water weighs probably around 15lbs+ add on the weight of the skimmer full of water, and you know have alot of weight hanging off of the back of your tank. If the entire tank doesnt tip backward, then you run the risk of all that stuff putting pressure on that back glass pane. Which could cause it to crack or burst.
You would have to at least build a mini stand for both the skimmer and AC110. This however could be as simple as a few books or a couple chucks of 2x4 spruce.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply and info outtafocus, I was thinking about the problems I'll be facing with hanging the skimmer off of the filter. I will definitly have to build a mini stand for the filter and skimmer. When I get it all done (all I need is my stand which I hope to get tomorrow, HOPEFULLY!!) I'll post pics for everyone to see, hehe . Hope it all works out

Manny, those are a bunch of hairy mushrooms, maybe if I'm good I'll get a galaxy!!

Well here it is!! not quite finished. I still have to make a mini stand for the AC and skimmer, right now they are sitting on tin cans inside a box and books. And my new (well used-new) stand and a few other pictures.

Here is a picture of a snail I had in the pico tank. He was so small when I got him maybe only 5mm, now he is close to half an inch long!!

And here is the green mushroom I had in the pico, as you can see it was covering some of the mushrooms and zoos before I transfered it. And an updated picture of the hairy mushroom.

Now I have a question for all of you, here is a very poor picture of a coral I found growing on one of the live rock, do any of you know what it is??
