Dont worry you could let it in the tank for at least 12 hour without any problem

the nory will not start decaying that fast and your tang will soon discovert them

Man the board has been unusually clever and hillarious the past couple days! (Perhaps its because it's 1am, and everything is funnier at 1am?)

And as an aside, I wouldn't worry too much about that nori stuff Steve. Tangs are omnivores and get far more sustanance from meaty foods than they do from algaes or seaweeds. My tangs (Blue and Yellow) both LOVE the mysis shrimp I feed the tank, as well as the flake foods. I occasionally feed them caulerpa when I prune, but other than that I leave their herbivorous intake to their grazing in the tank.

Both my tangs are happy, healthy and FAT!

IMO, nori schmori!

stircrazy...LOL!!.

Andrew...i concur.

hey steve,
dont you have a refugium...get some caulerpra started in there, then you can just use the cuttings to feed the tang. my tangS eat flake, mysis, brine, plankton. i also try to always have a clump of grape caulerpra in the tank for them to munch on. besides that they just graze around the tank.

i,ve never tried feeding them nori, i'd much rather eat that myself!!

Well today my non-Nori muncher turned into a Nori muncher hehe, seams he was curious about the veggi clip and after descovering that it didn't taste to good he saw the seaweed that was clipped into it and decided that it tasted mych better than the plastic hehe..
