Your birdsnest did a polyp bailout, Brett? Interesting, I didn't know that coral was prone to it as well.

I'm still not feeling the sympathy for you guys though!!

At least my 3/4" poci survivor is now a 7/8" poci. 1/8" growth in 4 months! I'm just RawkingOut(tm) on the SPS growth over here. Nyah nyah! Don't be hatin'.

The little buds are mostly right near that coral and have the glowing green tips so I assume it's the birdsnest. I'll try and get some pics tonight.

Hey, I am just happy that the RTN has stopped for some time now... One day I hope to have these growth problems also.

Where can I get some of this "problem" coral from? I'd love to have this problem as well.

Another "problem" coral I am having is my Kenya trees that keep forming all over. I love it!

It's actually very bad, mine spawn and keep growing buds in the middle of monti's, etc. They seem to be far more aggressive than any other SPS in my tank, so generally sting like crazy with sweepers that are 3X the size of the bud, before i find it and try to remove it. At least with aptaisia once you nuke it, it's gone, these pocci's you can't kill. .

I seem to have the same pink pocci's whatcaneyedo linked. I've let a few of them grow, is it normal for them to only be "healthy" at the top? it seems that as they grow the base is dieing, it bleaches then turns to rock, meanwhile the rest of the colony continues to grow. I was worried about bugs for awhile, but none of my other SPS is showing anything bad, only these pocci's.
