Sorry but can you elaborate a little? I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around the "double the inverse zoom" part.

Shutter speed is displayed as a fraction of a second, for example 1/250 of a second. Zoom is in mm, so if you're shooting at 200mm then you should aim for a minimum of 1/400 shutter speed. I maybe should have said double the zoom then inverse. Its just a rule of thumb and of course there are exceptions.

EFIX Data 5.6 aperture 300mm 100 ISO 1/250 Exp
Hard to judge this shot without the EFIX data so here you go it has got some great reviews on the other photo sites. It is a bit on the dark side though.

I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds. |

Do you have photoshop? You could easily bring the balances back into line. I must say that it is a great shot.... National Geographic "quality" or not.... you caught a good moment and I don't think many people would have!

Thanks I thought so too.
I really like the way he/she was posing at the time. I did not have a lot of time to set up the shot so it was hand held and shot with the settings I had set at the time.
